60:1(KJV)
Arise, shine; for
thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
There is a hidden glory of light in you which may be dim. But you have a
part to play by stepping out to shine your shine. Our acceptance into God’s
kingdom is an amazing gift which we are meant to shine. Therefore, for us to
sustain our position in this kingdom, we need to keep dwelling in the glory of
that light. The truth is, once light shines in a place of complete darkness,
darkness bows without any effort of resistance with subsequent flow of a ray of
light. Think of it in the case of the
sun, once it rises, it takes the darkness away, and after that has happened, it
keeps shining without limitation. John 1:5- And the light shineth in
darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. The same goes for us as believers as
we have different intensities of light. For some people, their light might be
dim due to them allowing the pressures of this world to hold them down; for
some, it might be slightly bright because they are still growing in their
Christian faith, while for some, it is extremely bright because of their deep and
consistent understanding of the Word of God and this is the intensity we are
meant to have as mature Christians.
God wants us to keep radiating His
glory, and that is why He gave us the Word as a constitutional manual to keep
that light shining even with high intensity. Psalms
119:105- Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. The intensity of light God aims for
us is the one that will shine, and it will radiate to everyone and things
around us. This light is our inheritance, and we are meant to show it to the
world that is filled with tears of gross darkness. The truth is the length or intensity of our shining is determined by
the volume of our oil which is directly reflected to our faith. So, I urge you to fuel yourself always
with the right Word so that you can be hotter and you will keep burning and
shining in Jesus name.
PRAYER POINTS:
1.Oh Lord, may I step out to a new
realm of burning with higher expression to the glory of God in Jesus name.
2. Father, may my light attract
nations to God and repel darkness around my vicinity to the glory of God in
Jesus name.
