PRAY and Work

I find what this Nigerian Minister,Babatunde Fashola  said interesting. According to him, we are busy praying and not working and preparing for success. What do you think?

TITHING

A popular clergyman and Senior Pastor of the Daystar Christian Centre, Pastor Sam Adeyemi, has made a controversial statement concerning the payment of tithes in churches.

According to him the payment of tithe in churches was practised under the law of Moses saying it has expired.

Pastor Sam, had also claimed that he conducted unbiased research into the debate of payment of tithe in the churches.

He stated that God would never be angry with anybody who does not pay tithe and that the person would not be cursed.

THE BOOK:CHAPTER 6

WHAT IS THE FORMULA FOR LIFE

1. What is the formula for life? Somebody tell me. What do we do to stand upright at all times?
2. What do we do when we are surrounded with people that hate us, that do not care whether we are happy or not.
3. All they care about is themselves. They borrow and do not repay. They promise and do not fulfill their promises.
4. Sometimes when I meet such people, I want to avoid them, I want to stay away from people that practice such nonsense.
5. However, it is also important to minister to those people so that they can change.
6. If you try to keep to yourself, it’s not the best
7. And when you are free with them and allow them to get close to you, they disappoint you.
8. Or is it a case of expecting too much from people? From mere mortals like me?
9. But I believe the lord has set a standard for us all. The book of the law that he has given us.
10. If we follow it, everyone will live in peace. there will be love, harmony and unity.
11. But we refuse to heed to his warnings,  to follow his directions becomes a difficult task for us.
12. The best formula for life is to obey the lord and follow his commands and it shall be well with you always.

THE BOOK:CHAPTER 5

FOR YOUR TRAINING AND REWARD

1. Have you met a very cruel, difficult, cantankerous and wicked leader?You are struggling to impress and satisfy him so that you will not incur his wrath, but to no avail?
2. Let me tell you that you might not be able to change such situations or people.
3 .They are there for a purpose, and the purpose is for your “Training’’.
4. They will inflict so much pain in your heart that you will feel like staying away from them , or leaving that job, relationship or the house that you have in common with those people.
5. Wait a little more. Don’t despair or be discouraged. The oppression will soon be over.
6. Suddenly , they will disappear from the scene and seize to be in power over your life.
7.At this time, you have succeeded in getting trained in the mastery of perseverance, humility, patience and similar traits that will equip you for a gallant future.
8. When God intervenes, it will be like a dream to you! This is one of the ways He will do it ;
9.He will gradually ,in their very face,be bringing the good people close to you.
10.They could be the friends of the wicked ones that do not partake in their evil deeds.
11.The kind ones will begin to study you and pick interest in you.
12.Before you know it,they will snatch you away from the snares of the brutal and the ungodly.
13.They will look,but lo,you have disappeared from their very eyes.
14.Disappeared into your place of rest,comfort,plenty and overflow.
15.This will then be your "Reward"

A CRY FOR HELP

1. How long do I wait for you o Lord?
2. How long do I wait for you to rescue me from this terrible situation.
3. I have devoted my life to you.
4. I have surrendered to you my father.
5. You said I should give you my time and my strength. That I should teach your children without fear.
6. This,  I have accepted and have not deviated from.
7. Search my heart and see if I have been going in the wrong direction, and lead me in the right path.
8. My father and my provider. I have not seen the comfort that I desire for many years now.
9. I trust you with all my heart and I do not have any other source but you my father.
10. Why have I been denied for so long? Why have I not seen the good days you promised me?
11. I know you are a just and kind father. You will not abandon me now that I have decided to serve you and teach all your children your word and ways without fear.
12. Let people that see me rejoice in the Lord of my salvation. In you that set me apart for your work.
13. Let there be a reward for those who diligently serve you and seek your face.
14. May your name be exalted for ever in Jesus name.

THE BOOK:CHAPTER 3

THEIR WORLD AGAINST MINE

1. Trouble and war surround me on every side. And I know with the help of God I will overcome.
2. Gang up against me from neighbors and friends.  From those that are very close to me
3. When they are in trouble, I run around to bring them out. I always pray for them, helping them in every way I could.
4. I do all this because God our heavenly father commanded us to do so.
5. Not so with my people.Many of them have turned themselves to my enemies. They quickly find faults in what I do. Even when I’m making peace with them, they still think and plan evil against me.
6. O Lord my God, you know the sincerity of my heart. You know how I consult you on all issues and ask for wisdom to address them.
7. But as for them they see evil as good, wrong for right.
8. It appears they are blind, they cannot see the truth anymore. When I try to correct and teach them your ways, your requirement and statutes, they take offence.
9. They persecute me, slander me and threaten to destroy me.
10.My father and my God.Do not let their plans succeed. Do not let them disgrace me and put me to shame.
10. Pay them back for the evil they have done to me.

THE BOOK:CHAPTER 2

CALL TO SERVICE

1. When the Lord sets you apart for his work, count yourself special and well favored.
2. When the Lord tells you ; "I’m interested in your time, how you spend it and what you do with it",  then know that he has invested so much in you that he wants you to pass on to your generation and beyond.
3. To his children that come in contact with you all over the world.
4. In most cases, people that God wants to use for his work will first of all be reluctant or running away.Such is the case of Jonah when God sent him to Nineveh.
5. What God’s anointed ones do not often realize is that all they can ever desire in life is wrapped up in the assignment and commission he has given them.
6. Sometimes the process of molding, re-shaping and training the Lord will take them through is what they are afraid of.
7. Other times, they are afraid of the poverty they believe will confront them when they spend little or no time for their personal business.
8. Such is the case when God told me severally that he needs my attention in his vineyard.
9. At first I counted it all as a joke. I even hated the work of the kingdom more and more.
10. When people prophesied that I will be a man of God, I was angry with them. When they called me pastor, I insulted them.
11. I was doing my daily manufacturing business one day when a servant of God told me that I left God out in my scheme of things.
12. He said God was going to deal with me ruthlessly, if I did not make a change. He was going to put a stop to my money-making business if I did not worship him, serve or pay attention to what he was saying.
13. I told the man he sent in my mind to go to hell.
14. I did not know I was the foolish one.
15. Lo and behold, the business crumbled few weeks after the message from the servant of God came to me, I was in debt and in sorrow of heart continually.
16. I then realized that there was no other way out, so I started going to church. One of the days when I was on my way to church, a woman servant of God,,who I have never met before,sitting beside me told me that she saw a vision right there as she sat in the same taxi with me.
17. She told me that I have been arrogant and disrespectful to God. That I saw serving God as ridiculous, so it’s almost late now for me, but because the Lord is a merciful God, he will still accept me and have mercy on me.

THE BOOK : CHAPTER 1

I'M GRATEFUL

1.The lord is to be praised always.
2.He has delivered me from terrible moments. I will always remember his wonderful deeds.
3.When I was young, I had pains all over my body ;in the bones and joint. I cried unto him and he answered me.
4.Many times, I had stomach pains, not knowing what caused it. At night, I found it difficult to sleep, but now I cannot remember when last I had such pains.
5.God has been so good to me. He is my Healer.
6.There was a time one of my teeth was growing sideways, cutting through my cheek, blood running out of my mouth.  I had to put chewing gum beside the tooth to avoid continuous piercing in to the cheek.
7.I woke up one day to discover that the dangerous tooth had gone without any trace. I looked for it, it was nowhere to be found.
8.The lord is my Surgeon. He removed it overnight.
9.His good works in my life are many, and I will continue to remember them. I will pass it onto my children and to my children’s children.
10.Many thanks to the Lord Almighty who constantly upholds me.
11.He has not allowed my body to waste away.
12.There was a time that lightening struck and almost hit my leg, but went a little above my leg to hit the electricity socket on the wall. Smoke engulfed thereafter .All the power sources to our family home was cut off. My leg also could have been cut off.
13.The Lord saved me and I’m still walking properly till today.
14.I cannot tell enough all his good works and mighty deeds.
15.It is a privilege to be alive, to be among those that see the light of day. To behold the beauty of the Lord’s creation.
